A Passion for the Land

Jorge Estrada's family tree includes three former Nicaraguan presidents and several Premier Generals of the Republic. After working in the U.S. as a clinic administrator for a number of years, he returned to Nicaragua in 1997 with his wife Lori, a physician specializing in orthopedics, and their three children.

One of the Estradas' first projects in Nicaragua was to establish a premiere orthopedic clinic in Managua. The couple also developed a number of community outreach programs which earned them in 2003, the Diploma of Honor from the National Fire Department in Managua and a 2004 Medal of Amistad from the National Police.

In the last 5 years, the Estradas began to talk about creating an inviting, exciting community in which to live. They chose a magnificent piece of Pacific coastline and agreed to accept only the highest standard for the smallest detail. That dream community is Montecristo, and it is very much a reality. It will be their home, and they hope it will soon be yours!
