"Get to Know Us" Tours 2010 The month of May marks the beginning of the green season in Nicaragua. The countryside appears as if it has been painted overnight. Trees are blooming and the green hills of Montecristo are spectacular. This is the perfect time to plan a visit.
What is a "Get to Know Us" Tour? Montecristo Beach and Golf Resort is excited to offer our friends the opportunity to visit Nicaragua through the new "Get to Know Us" Tours. Have you always wanted to visit Nicaragua but never had the time to plan a trip? These tours are designed so that you can explore Montecristo and Nicaragua hassle free. All you have to do is choose a date and purchase your plane tickets. We'll take care of all the in-country details - including the driving! You will be given a packet of information at the beginning of the tour with prices, available lots and homes and purchasing options. No pressure to buy. What makes these tours different is that they aren't run by a real estate agent. The tours are low-key and designed for you to get to know us - the developer, the homeowners, the community and the country. The "Get to Know Us" Tours at Montecristo can be reserved for a very reasonable price - $299 per person which includes lodging, transportation and most meals and drinks. Here is the detailed itinerary: Day 1 - After a quick flight to Nicaragua we will settle you into the Barceló hotel in the foothills of Managua, Nicaragua's capital. Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to take a tour of Managua. Meals are on your own today. Night in Managua.
Day 2 - After breakfast at the hotel, we will drive out to Montecristo passing farms and small villages on the way. Upon our arrival, we will tour the rolling hills of Cumbres with estate home sites and turn-key casitas available. Next, we will drive through Los Altos and arrive at Costa Azul, where the 18-hole Mike Young designed golf course is planned. We will enjoy lunch in our beachfront hut and take in breathtaking views from our golf clubhouse site and buildable beachfront lots while in Costa Azul. Before the sun sets, we will settle you into one of the charming casitas or estate homes in Cumbres where you can enjoy a dip in your own private pool. Cocktails and dinner - Nica style - will be hosted by the Murdock family in their breathtaking custom-designed home. Night in Montecristo. Included B, L, D.
Day 3 - You are free to enjoy this day in Montecristo as you wish. Enjoy the day reading by your own private pool and walks on the Cumbres beach. Or for the more adventurous spirit, explore the long stretch of coastline in Costa Azul atop an ATV or horse. We will stock your fridge with all the essentials so that it really feels like home. You can decide if you want to grill or prepare a gourmet meal. This day is designed so that you will really get to know what it would be like to live here.
Day 4 - Unless you choose to extend your stay in Nicaragua, safe travels back home. If you choose to extend your trip, we can help you make plans. Please contact Tura for details. Optional Granada Extension - After breakfast we will head to Granada, the region's oldest colonial city. On the way, we will stop at the Masaya Volcano and the city's famous craft market. Once in Granada, we will enjoy lunch in a renovated colonial house and have a short tour of the city via horse drawn carriage. The afternoon is yours to enjoy as you wish - visit the museums, shop for souvenirs or take a boat ride around the isletas. You will have the option of staying overnight in Granada or returning to Managua for those leaving early in the morning the next day. Night in Granada or Managua. Included B, L.
